In this section Birdie goes to a new school in New Hampshire, and of course the girls at her school are mean to her. Why does it seem that everyone is mean to poor little Birdie? The kids at her first school were unkind to her as well. I wouldn't say that Birdies dad is necessarily mean to her, but definetely doesn't treat her with the same respect as he does with Cole.
However, on her third day of the new school, she made a friend named Mona, like the Mona Lisa. However I don't think they are related in anyway shape or form. But at least Birdie made a friend. It was getting kind of depressing, because it seemed like nothing was going right until she met Mona.
Thank God for Mona.
